Open Terminal

Terminal is a built-in app on your Mac:

  1. Press ⌘ Command + Space to open Spotlight
  2. Type Terminal
  3. Press Enter to open it

Copy & Paste This Command

Click the box below to copy, then paste into Terminal and press Enter.

cd ~/Downloads/MailSweep-Mac && chmod +x build-app.sh && ./build-app.sh

Launch Mail Sweep

After installation, find Mail Sweep anytime:

  1. Press ⌘ Command + Space
  2. Type Mail Sweep
  3. Press Enter to launch

One-Time Setup: Install Python

Mail Sweep requires Python (free). If you already have it, skip to Step 1.

During installation, check "Add Python to PATH" — this is important!

Download the Installer

After downloading
Right-click the .zip → Extract All... → Extract
💡 You must extract the files before running the installer!

Run the Installer

Open the extracted folder and double-click install.bat

  1. Open the MailSweep-Windows folder
  2. Double-click install.bat
  3. If Windows asks to confirm, click Run anyway
  4. Wait for the installer (about 5 seconds)

What does the installer do? It copies Mail Sweep to your user folder and creates a Desktop shortcut.

Launch Mail Sweep

After installation, launch Mail Sweep from:

  1. Desktop shortcut: Double-click "Mail Sweep Cleaner" on Desktop
  2. Search: Press ⊞ Win, type Mail Sweep, press Enter
